Airth, Lady Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Airth, Lady Well as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to a local tradition of healing and devotion to the "Lady," likely the Virgin Mary, the well was a site of medieval pilgrimage and may have been associated with miraculous cures. Such wells were often tended by local communities and visited for water to treat ailments or for spiritual renewal.
