Ailsa Craig Castle, located off the coast of Ayrshire, Scotland, was built in the 16th century, likely by the Boyd family, who were prominent in the region. The castle is remembered for its strategic position and unique architecture, as well as its use as a lighthouse and later as a military outpost.
