What is recorded here
Aglishcormack Grave Yard holds a disused church and scattered stones inside a low oval bank on a gentle Limerick slope. The northern wall of the church has become part of the graveyard boundary, while a shallow L-shaped ditch marks a smaller square area among frequent flat stones. Cattle may still walk the pasture above them, unaware that human hands shaped the bank, ditch and buried wall for worship and death.
In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. Sub-oval area (dims. 20.5m NW-SE; 12m NE-SW) defined by low earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.12m) on straight side (L 12m) to SE and S-NNE; reduced to scarp (Wth 2.4m; H 0.55m) NNE-SE. Remains of church (LI024-063002-) within northern sector of interior, where N-bank incorporates N-side of church. Roughly square area (dims. 9.5m NE-SW; 9m NW-SE) defined by an internal L-shaped fosse (Wth 2.95m; D 0.3m) on SE side and SSW-NW occupies remainder of interior; contains frequent stones (L 0.2-0.3m) with some linear arrangements in very low profile.
