Why this matters

Agen Pen-y-benglog is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and mudstone, formed around 440–420 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent tectonic uplift. The cliff is notable for its exposure of ancient marine sediments and its location within the rugged coastal landscape of northwest Wales.
