Terraced three-storey gable-fronted entrance section to enclosed shopping arcade, c. 1915, having slate pitched roof to front section and glazed pitched roof over arcade, three-storey timbered façade with roughcast render infill, quatrefoil panels between windows and timber shopfront with carved consoles, retaining six paned timber casement windows in tripartite arrangement to Oliver Plunkett Street façade, with decorative timber trusses, mosaic floor, stall risers and glazed shopfronts internally; street frontages on Oliver Plunkett Street and Winthrop Street.
Little altered early twentieth-century shopping arcade retaining its distinctive timbered façade and arcaded entrance with shop unit having terrazzo dado wall and curved plate glass façade. Internally, original features such as bronze frame display windows, glazed timber doors and ornate clock survive. Its site, as part of group of historically important buildings on Oliver Plunkett Street and the fact that it remains in its original use adds to its significance.
