Café Conor at 11a Stranmillis Road still stands where artist William Conor kept his studio from 1944 until 1959. Behind its ordinary front, paint and thought likely moved through rooms now used for coffee and conversation. The blue plaque marks that hidden creative life, reminding passers-by the street once fed an artist as much as a cafe.
