Whitcastles is a Bronze Age stone circle in Dumfries and Galloway where nine fallen stones still mark a 55m by 45m oval. The largest stones face north and south, joining other Solway Firth circles in pointing toward the cardinal directions. It sits among the stumps of a felled Sitka plantation, half buried in wood and silence, waiting for someone to walk the line and imagine what it marked.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Whitcastles as Ring Enclosure(s) (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
