Derrynabaunshy in County Mayo holds a wedge tomb, a megolithic structure where ancient people placed their dead. The site belongs to the broad tradition of wedge tombs, simple in name but heavy in purpose. It marks a time when humans shaped stone to preserve memory, linking living communities to those who disappeared. The tomb still stands as a quiet witness to that ancient certainty.
