A mill, known as Channon's mill, or Cannon's mill, at Ballynatray was amongst the possession of Molana Abbey (WA037-011001-) at the time of the Dissolution (Nolan 1984, 48), and it was part of the property sold by Sir Walter Raleigh to Sir Richard Boyle in 1602, which was confirmed to Boyle in 1604 (Went 1946, 181). It remains unlocated.
