Walter Guinness, 1st Baron Moyne, was born in County Dublin, Ireland, on 29 March 1880. He became a British Conservative politician and soldier before serving as the British minister of state in the Middle East. On 6 November 1944, the Zionist terrorist group Lehi assassinated him in Cairo, Egypt.
