Situated on a slight rise and disturbed by the insertion of two military pill-boxes. A circular area (diam. 28m) is enclosed by a fosse and an external bank (overall diam. 42m), and there is an entrance at the E. A Neolithic ring-barrow or early Bronze Age circular barrow; its significance lies in its construction as a defensive or ceremonial earthwork, typical of the broader Megalithic tradition in Ireland.
