Ulster History Circle placed the blue plaque at 23 College Gardens, County Antrim, Ireland. It commemorates Vere Foster, 1819-1900, an educationalist and the first President of the Irish National Teachers' Organisation. The plaque still stands where that life and work became visible to everyone passing by.
