Cast-iron vent pipe, erected c.1870, with a decorative cast-iron fluted base and a plain cast-iron shaft with a crown top.
Sewer vent pipes are unusual and rare in small towns in Ireland. The design and detail of this vent is similar to cast-iron lamp standards of the same date. This nineteenth-century feature is unusual in the streetscape of Nobber.
