Knocknakeeragh in County Derry, Ireland, held Bronze Age cists where urns carried the last remains of people long gone. The exact burial spot has slipped from modern sight, but the land still remembers the shape of that loss. Someone placed each urn with care, trusting the soil to keep what flame had changed.
