Urn burial in Gorey Corporation Lands

Fragments of an encrusted urn and fragments of a vase urn that was inverted over cremated bone (WX007-055001-) were found in the face of a gravel quarry in 1989. The cremation represented an adult female. (Ó Floinn 2011) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
