TWO STANDING STONES in Cloghs

TWO STANDING STONES

What is recorded here

Two standing stones in Cloghs, County Antrim, survive from an uncertain prehistoric time when people placed stone before writing existed. They stand as witnesses to lost hands, lost arguments, lost ceremonies, and perhaps ordinary life passed slowly beside them.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as TWO STANDING STONES. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
