Tower was one of five decorative structures built along an estate wall near Bingham Castle house in County Mayo during the late 1800s or early 1900s. It served no defensive purpose, only embellishment, marking private land with vertical pride. The tower was demolished early in the 20th century and left no visible remains. What is left is a gap in the wall and a name preserved in a list.

Located approximately mid-way along an E–W estate wall to E of Bingham Castle house (MA024-002001-). Built in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s, this tower is one of five towers (MA024-002002-; MA024-002003-; MA024-003----; MA024-005----) which embellished the estate walls.
