Derrywarragh Island in Maghery, County Armagh, still carries the remains of an O'Connor stronghold, though the exact age of its tower and enclosure remains uncertain. The post-medieval stones rise from the island like a forgotten claim of power, inviting wonder about the families who defended them and the waters that isolated them.
