Tony Haslems Well sits in marshy Laois ground, a covered pump rather than a sacred basin. It appeared after 1700 to drink from wet earth, not to worship. Haslem may have dug it for his own throat, leaving behind a name instead of a prayer.

In marshy, low-lying ground. Well is covered over and worked by a pump. Named well probably of post 1700 AD date and not a holy well as there is no evidence of any religious activity around this well.
