Melaghlin, son of Owny O'More, commissioned his own knightly tomb in 1502, placing a sword-wielding effigy above Gaelic stone. The monument now sits displaced in a walled garden at Abbeyleix Demesne rather than a church, waiting patiently in the wrong room for centuries. Its absence from early maps suggests it moved or hid from surveyors, preserving a bold lordly gesture instead of fading into ordinary ground.

Not marked on the 1841 or 1909 eds OS 6-inch maps. Burial place of the Moores of Cremorgan (Comerford 1886, vol. 3, 375). Visible are four O'More tombstones post 1700 AD in date.
