Corracloona Court Tomb stands on a Leitrim slope above Lough MacNean, preserving a Bronze Age chamber whose narrow kennel-hole still invites imagination about offerings, voices or forgotten ceremony. Local legend names Prince Connell, though Conall Gulban belongs to a much later age and another grave claims him elsewhere. The discrepancy does not diminish the tomb; it shows how people have kept company with the dead long after the facts changed shape.

The founders of the Creevelea Abbey (LE014-004001-), Eoin O'Rourke who died in 1528 and his wife Margaret who died in 1512, were buried in a magnificent tomb in the chancel (O'Connell 1937, 138), but the tomb does not survive. Date of upload: 07 December 2011
