What is recorded here

Toberoonaun is a holy well in County Mayo, Ireland. The name still carries the old belief that water can touch the boundary between the living world and the unseen. A person may have knelt there in rain, washed a wound, or dropped a coin into darkness. The well does not need a grand claim; it needs only to remember the hands that repeated the gesture.
