Tobernaslauntia is a dried-up holy well in County Galway pastureland, marked by a shallow oval hollow and remembered as a cure for disease rather than a saintly gift. It sits close to Ballyglass Castle, small enough to be overlooked yet clear enough to have drawn suffering people across open fields. The stones no longer hold water, but they still point west, as if waiting for rain or for someone foolish enough to believe desperation can be poured back into the earth.

In pastureland, c. 150m W of Ballyglass Castle (GA007-019----). The very poorly preserved remains of dried-up holy well indicated by an oval-shaped stone-lined hollow (L 2.8m, Wth 1.8m) opening out to W. According to OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 70), while it was not blessed by a saint, it was resorted to as a cure for disease.
