Tobernahaltora is a Neolithic wedge tomb in Srahwee, County Mayo, where ancient burial stones still mark the earth. Its name blends Irish words for well and altar, hinting that people later gathered there for prayer beside the dead. The chamber may have held ancestors, while the open court welcomed the living into ceremonies under wide skies. Centuries passed, yet the stones remained a pivot between memory and ritual.
