Toberbride, Askillaun is a holy well associated with St. Bride (or Brigid), a revered early Irish Christian saint linked to healing and fertility. Traditionally, the well may have been visited for its curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and general well-being, with rituals often performed on Imbolc or during holy days.
