What is recorded here
Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland, is the birthplace of Tina Reynolds, who performed in showbands and reached number one on the Irish charts before representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1974. Born Philomena Quinn in 1949 or 1950, she carried tuberculosis through childhood hospitals, yet her voice still cut through dance halls, television studios and international broadcast. The town gave up a sick child and received back a singer whose name became Tina, a stage identity bright enough to outshine the illness that shaped her.
