The Parish Church of King Charles the Martyr in Falmouth was built in the 17th century, with construction beginning around 1630 and completed in 1634, during the reign of Charles I. It is dedicated to King Charles I, who was later executed and is venerated as a martyr by some Anglicans; the church reflects an early 17th-century architectural style and holds historical significance as a royalist memorial in a region with strong royalist sympathies during the English Civil War.
