The Glynne Arms Pub opposite Hawarden Castle Gates is a castle, fort or tower in Flintshire, Wales. Perhaps drinkers still debate whether the castle shadow falls across the pub or the pub light spills into the castle gate. Maybe a man walked past both at dusk and could not remember which one he had entered. Imagine the boundary between home and fortress dissolving in rain, leaving only warmth, stone and a door that opens inward.
