The Fort of Dunan Ruadh is a castle, fort or tower in Na h-Eileanan Siar, Scotland. Perhaps red stones still glow beneath the grass, marking the fort’s boundary against the tide. Maybe sailors read that colour as a warning not to anchor near the rocks. Imagine a keeper dropping a rope into water that returns darker than it left.
