The Former White Hart Inn was a 19th-century coaching inn that provided lodging and stabling for travelers and mail coaches on the busy London to Norwich Road. It declined in importance after the Norwich and Brandon Railway opened in 1845, marking the shift from stagecoach to rail transport.
