Oak trees in Wexford stand as a memorial to United Irish insurgents killed in Meath and surrounding counties in 1798. The grove holds grief, pride and memory together under living branches.
In memory of the Wexford United Irish insurgents who died in Meath, and surrounding counties in 1798. These oak trees are a gift from Comóradh Ríocht na Mí and Coillte Teo to Wexford, and the plot was donated by J.F.K. Arboretum.
