Built by the Welsh prince Rhys ap Gruffydd in the 12th century, Dinefwr Castle was a key stronghold in the struggle for control of south-west Wales. The circular keep, one of the few surviving examples in Wales, is remembered for its unique design and historical significance in the region's medieval history.
