Tayport Castle was a medieval Z-plan fortress near Tayport, Fife, demolished in the 19th century until no stone remained above ground. Its angular rooms may have caught river light or shadowed hungry men, but the earth now holds only the shape of what was lost.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tayport Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Tayport Castle was built in the late 14th or early 15th century by the Leslie family, a prominent Scottish noble lineage. It is remembered as a strategic stronghold in the defense of the Tay estuary and for its later use as a customs house and prison in the 17th and 18th centuries.
