Tay Defences, Broughty Castle Battery

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tay Defences, Broughty Castle Battery as Coastal Battery (first World War), Coastal Battery (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Built during World War I as part of the coastal defenses of the Tay estuary, Broughty Castle Battery was strategically positioned to protect against naval threats. Its importance lies in its role in Scotland's military defense network during the early 20th century.
