Sweathouse in Cinn Aird Thiar (tc Cinn Aird),tobar Na Múdán

One chamber, one roof, one living edge: a D-shaped sweathouse built into the boundary wall between Kinard West and Tobarnamoodane, with a north entrance, corbelled stone roof, and cobble floor. It still stands near settlement, small enough to enter deliberately and close enough to a stream that water, heat and breath would have belonged to the same daily rhythm. People may have gone there to be cleansed, marked, remembered or made strong; the wall around it suggests the practice was ordinary, not hidden.
