What is recorded here
Gateway, c.1850, comprising rubble stone piers with wrought iron double gates. Pier to south-west rebuilt, c.1990.
This gateway, providing access to Sunnyside House, is of an attractive, simple design that provides subtle incident to Main Street. The gates are a good example of early surviving wrought iron work.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
