Structure

A piece of broken brushwood (Wth 0.29m; diam. 0.04m) in the drain face. The piece has been disturbed by machinery and is fragmented into three pieces. It sits in well-humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
