What is recorded here

A piece of hazel brushwood (L 2.15m; diam. 0.04m) on the field surface. Possible evidence for branch-trimming was noted. The site was located in poorly humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
