Structure

A deposit of mixed brushwood, roundwoods and a peg on the field surface (L 3.15m; Wth 2.51m; D 0.05m). Four roundwoods are orientated NE-SW and are spaced between 0.3-0.76m apart. The remaining brushwood and roundwoods are irregularly laid. The peg is situated in the centre of the site and set at an angle of 85°. This site is very fragmentary and in a poor condition. It lies in poor to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
