Structure

A deposit (L 0.62m; Wth 0.46m; D 0.075m) of two pieces of light brushwood and a roundwood on the field surface. One of the brushwood pieces was set parallel to the roundwood, while the second piece was set perpendicular to these. The elements were widely spaced and all had suffered machine damage. The underside of the roundwood had three toolmarks related to branch-trimming. The site was situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
