What is recorded here

A piece of brushwood (L 1.5m min.; diam. 0.03m) on the field surface with a single toolmark related to branch-trimming. The piece is in poorly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
