Structure

A deposit (Wth 1.4m min.; D 0.025m) of two irregularly laid pieces of brushwood on the field surface. Two cavities were noted 0.3m to the SE which may indicate that additional elements have been destroyed by milling. One piece was identified as hazel. The site is in poorly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
