Structure

A deposit (Wth 3.02m; D 0.56m) of light brushwood, laid seven pieces deep, with a roundwood in the drain face. The elements are widely spaced and irregularly laid. A number of pieces have metal-cut chisel points. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
