What is recorded here

A single roundwood (L 1.19m; diam. 0.1m) on the field surface which is cut to a wedge point and set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
