Structure

Two parallel pieces of brushwood and a peg (L 0.38m; diam. 0.05m) in the drain face (Wth 0.15m; D 0.09m). The wood is widely spaced but may have formed part of a linear structure. The peg is cut to as chisel point with metal toolmarks and there is branch trimming on the brushwood. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
