Structure

The site (Wth 0.85m; D 0.24m) consists of light brushwood, laid 3-4 pieces deep, and occasional twigs in the drain face. The brushwood is widely dispersed and has no discernible structure. A number of pieces have metal-cut chisel points. Wood species identified include birch and Pomoideae. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat and is located 1.2m SE of SMR OF015-083----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
