Structure

A loose arrangement (Wth 0.78m; D 0.3m) of brushwood in the drain face consisting of approximately thirty pieces of light brushwood, laid five pieces deep. The pieces are closely spaced in an irregular fashion with no apparent structure. One of the pieces has a metal-cut chisel point. One piece was identified as willow. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat and is located 1.2m NW of SMR OF015-125----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
