Structure

A vertical hazel stake (Wth 0.8m; D 0.3m) cut to a chisel point in the drain face. A displaced piece of brushwood is located on the field surface but its relationship to the stake is unclear. The brushwood piece has a degraded chisel point and a possible break-and tear mark. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
