Structure

Two parallel planks and a roundwood (L 0.4m; Wth 0.2m; D 0.12m) horizontally laid below the field surface. The planks are tangentially and quarter split and overlay the light roundwood which had evidence of branch trimming. All of the wood was in poor condition and occurred in highly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
