Structure

A small area of light brushwood on the field surface (L 0.65m; Wth 0.41m; D 0.15m). The site has been substantially disturbed by milling and it is not possible to identify a coherent structure. A number of pieces sit in an upright position and may have functioned as pegs. Only one piece shows evidence for woodworking. Wood species include alder. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
